Creating Construction Business Cards

Having professional looking construction business cards on hand when you visit sub contractors, contractors, architects,  potential clients, suppliers and industry vendors could mean the difference between a business contract being signed or more importantly, the black number on your bottom line.  Every construction business is determined to have a thriving business instead of a construction business that is just getting by.

Let your construction business card be your silent salesman. With that being said, you business card should reflect your company brand and the image you want to portray to the business world as you expand your business and professional contacts.

Creating your own business cards isn’t as hard as you might think.  Today you can find pre-scored business card stock at any of your local office supply stores like Staples, Office Depot and so on.  The great thing about pre-scored business card paper is that you can easily follow the instructions and print your very own business cards from your home computer.  Depending on the brand you purchase, there is often a software program on a CD that you can install that will help you design the business card.  If you do not have Microsoft Word on your computer, try to find the brand that does include the business card software.  There are several business card templates and sometimes thousands of clip art images to add to the business card.  Remember, take your time and be creative.  Make your business card stand out from the rest.

If you are looking for something a little more professional or you want to have your business card created by a commercial printer, I would recommend visiting a local printer in your area.  Now of course this is going to be more expensive than printing the business card on your home computer, but you can count on the quality of the business card that will be printed by a commercial printer.

It is best that you get a copy of the business card in a digital format from the printer just in case the printer goes out of business or you want to reprint the business card with another printer that may have better prices.  Personally, once I have the digital copy I will purchase the business card reprints online, which can be as inexpensive as forty dollars for a thousand business cards.
