While it may be nice to bring your own lunch from home, it is pretty certain that clients you are asked to wine and dine don’t want to sit around your office table over a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and apple slices. Having to eat out doesn’t mean you have to throw away all of your good eating habits, or sabotage your health, although it can if you let it. Take these simple practices into consideration if you really want to eliminate belly fat and eat out, all at the same time.

1. Choose the best locations to begin with. Find restaurants that are both healthy and delicious. It is definitely possible to do so. By going to locations that serve healthy options you can feel like you aren’t going to fall into the trap of having to order something awfully unhealthy out of desperation.

2. Be in the know. Search online for the best menu items at the locations you will be eating at. If you go knowing beforehand what you want to order you will be able to make a good choice without even being tempted otherwise.

3. Decide on skipping dessert. If you make a habit of eating dessert after every meal your body will form habitual cravings for sweet things after you eat any meal. Don’t allow yourself to fall into this trap. If your client decides dessert is in the cards for them ask for a diet beverage or some ice water instead.

4. Keep your exercise going. Eating out more means you will be eating more calories overall. It is just the way it is. If you are sincerely wanting to keep up your weight loss don’t skip out on your workouts to lose belly fat. You will give yourself a bit more of a cushion with your caloric deficit.
